Friends, it is with profound sadness that we inform you of the death of Carol Atkins. Carol passed peacefully in the presence of her family on Tuesday evening. The last things she shared with me was her great love for her family and for her church.

Please pray for Bob and all the family in their grief.

Into your hands, O merciful Savior, we commend your servant, Carol. Acknowledge, we humbly beseech you, a sheep of your own fold, a lamb of your own flock, a sinner of your own redeeming. Receive her into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. Amen. May her soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Tuesday in Holy Week In Isaiah 49:6, God says to his servant, "It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the survivors of Israel: I will give you as a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth." Attention St. John's men! The men's group will be getting underway again in April!

On April 20, we'll welcome Bishop Taylor as our inaugural speaker for the new group. We'll get underway at 8 a.m. in the Learning Commons downstairs. Out no later than 9:30. Coffee and danish (or something like it) will be served.
